ABOUT

At DEVEL we train the general public, law enforcement and military operators in modern urban defensive weaponscraft. We specialize in the art and science of modern uraban defensive weaponscraft, tactics and combat mindset. We use contemporary experiential educational training and coaching methods. Operators quickly comprehend and retain the training they recieve as they evolve. We conduct our range and classroom training using the latest industry practices in a safe and positive format. Novice and experienced operator alike will rapidly advance their abilities from the information and training presented. Traditional national training organizations and their conventional target competition training regimes are often obtuse and archaic; and have stymied operators in their study of the art and science of modern defensive weaponscraft. As a result students are left confused as try to sort the differences between competition versus defensive weaponcraft methods. PERSONAL WEAPONCRAFT© SERIES: OPEN TO ENROLLMENT TO ALL REGARDLESS OF EXPERIENCE. NEW AND EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS ALIKE ARE WELCOME. THIS IS A NO "FUDD" ZONE. THIS IS NOT A REHASH OF VINTAGE NRA STYLE PAPER TARGET MARKSMANSHIP. THIS COURSE MOVES BEYOND ARMY AND MARINE BASIC MARKSMANSHIP AS WELL. THIS SERIES DELVES INTO THE EVOLUTION AND EMERGENT STATE OF THE ART OF ESSENTIAL MILITARY, POLICE AND CIVILIAN COMBAT WEAPONCRAFT SKILLS.

UTAC SERIES: OPEN TO EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS ONLY. THIS SERIES IS ABOUT PRACTICAL TRAINING IN ACTIVE SELF PROTECTION AND PROTECTING WHAT YOU VALUE THE MOST: SELF, FAMILY, HOME AND COMMUNITY! PREREQUISITE: A SIMILAR COURSE FROM THE EVOLUTION WEAPONSCRAFT SERIES.

CQB SERIES: OPEN TO EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS ONLY. THIS SERIES SPECIFIC EMPHASIS IS CLOSE QUARTERS BATTLE ROOM CLEARING AND ACTIVE SHOOTER RESPONSE. PREREQUISITE: A SIMILAR COURSE FROM THE EVOLUTION WEAPONCRAFT SERIES.

CONCEALED CARRY SERIES: OPEN TO EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS ONLY. THE FOCUS OF THIS COURSE IS WEAPONCRAFT SKILLS FOR PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL CONCEALED CARRIERS. PREREQUISITE: A CORRESPONDING COURSE FROM THE EVOLUTION WEAPONSCRAFT SERIES.

Courses in this series are available for the EDC pistol, PSD pistol, and Church security pistol, Robbery suppression pistol and EDC Shiv+.

MASTER OPERATOR SERIES: OPEN TO NOVICE AND EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS ONLY. MASTER LEVEL WEAPONSCRAFT DEVELOPMENT FOR OPERATORS. PREREQUISITE: A SIMILAR COURSE FROM THE EVOLUTION WEAPONSCRAFT SERIES.

I-1639 Required Firearms Safety Training
Attention purchasers of semi-automatic rifles! As of July 1, 2019 purchasers of semi-automatic rifles are required to have firearms safety training.

After June 30, 2019, before delivering a semiautomatic assault rifle to a purchaser, a dealer must be provided proof that the purchaser has completed a recognized firearm safety training program within the past five years.

I-1639 training will consist of:

Basic firearms safety rules
Firearms and children, including secure gun storage and talking to children about gun safety;
Firearms and suicide prevention;
Secure gun storage to prevent unauthorized access and use;
Safe handling of firearms; and
State and federal firearms laws, including prohibited firearms transfers.

This course is held daily by appointment only.

Prerequisite: None.

URBAN PRECISiON MARKSMAN (DMR) COURSE

Designated Marksman are faced with unique challenges operating in a rapidly changing dynamic urban operations environment. The Urban Precision Marksman course fills the gap between Urban Tactical Carbine (Standard Patrol Rifle) and SWAT Sniper.

The limitations of an urban environment confines the Precision Marksman enagements to within 65yds. to 200 yds. It is at these distances that Precision Marksman must be able, with certainty, identify threats and swiflty apply precise single shots on single and multiple threats in rapid succession.

Operators will be trained to excel in the requisite skills, typical of trained Precision Marksman in possession of a semi-automatic fire equipped with a telescopic sight.

Course Outline:

Lecture topics and range training will consist of:
Ballistics and Maximum Point Blank Zero, ammunition selection, weapon and equipment selection, optics and bipods, unconventioanl shooting positions, range estimation,

Equipment requirements: We recommend M-4 pattern rifles in 5.56 with an LPVO and attached bipod. Optional single stage 3.5 lbs are highly recomended. Battle rifle calibers will not be permitted.

Concealed carry, every day carry, CCW, EDC

EDC Pistol
This course is intended for "Every Day Carry" or EDC pistol operators. Operators will be instructed in the art and science of concealed pistol carry. The course is entirely shot from the concealed carry mode. The course will emphasize the refinement of concealment and retention; pistol presention, threat detection and avoidance, desecalation, equipment, tactics and mindset; and post incident response.

If you do not own a holster contact us and we my be able to supply a loaner at no cost to you!

Please note shoulder, crossdraw, fanny packs and SERPA type holsters are not allowed in this course.

Pistol Weaponcraft
This course was designed for new and experienced operators alike. The main emphasis of this course is refining combat marksmanship and weapons handling skills. Using state of the art advanced instructor to student training methods. Operators will rapidly advance and most importantly learn to retain their newly acquired skillset. This course is not a rehash of traditional vintage NRA target marksmanship. This course rapidly moves beyond military and police basic marksmanship standards. Operators will be immersed in the latest state of the art proven pistol weaponcraft skills. Operators will presented with practical drills from which they will be able to conduct in their personal training regime. At the conclusion of the course students will leave the course as competant pistol operators.

Urban Objective Rifleman (IAR) Course

This is our definitve fire support rifle course. The role of the Urban Objective Rifleman (UOR) is to lay down a high volume of suppressive fire against area targets while providing cover fire for their team during an engagement from various fixed positions and on the move. The emphasis will be on the harmonious trigger control management, burst vs. controlled fire, rapid target engagement, bipod deployment, accuracy and ammo management.

Operators will be trained to excel in the requisite skills to deliver accurate sustained saturated fire at intermediate distances (medium engagement range) against multiple targets. Operators of lawfully possessed select fire M-16/M-4's, binary triggers, forced reset triggers and similar specialty type triggers will come appreciate their equipment and skills upon attendance of this course.

Ammunition: 2000 rds of rifle ammunition

Equipment requirements: We recomend M-4 pattern rifles in 5.56 with a attached bipod. Select fire capable rifles and specialty type triggers are optional. Battle rifle calibers will not be permitted.
