About the Course
Shotgun Weaponcraft is a safe, dynamic, performanced based defensive Shotgun marksmanship handling class. Students will learn to operate their shotguns with reasonble combat accuracy at speed. The primary focus of the training is the balance of speed vs accuracy. Students will learn to modulate their speed and accuracy to perform precise and surgical shooting at reasonable speeds and distances. This course will also debunk many of the operational defensive myths of the shotgun. Students will leave the Shotgun Weaponcraft course as skilled and reasonably competent shotgun operators!
Training will include:
Firearms Safety - The capstone of firearms ownership and use
Defensive Marksmanship - Consisting of a stable grip, trigger control and methods of aiming, acceptable sight picture and stance.
Dynamic Shotgun Manipulation - Gun handling skills; operating Shotgun controls smoothly and efficiently with confidence. Efficient, rapid reloading and malfunction clearing drills.
Dynamic Shotgun Presentation - Safely presenting, mounting and driving the gun.

The safe storage and transport of firearms
The “Use of Force”
Basic ammunition selection
Weapon and equipment selection
Hold Over/Range Estimation
Equipment and ammunition requirements:
Ammunition: 200 rds of birdshot, 20rds of low-recoil buckshot, 25 rds of low-recoil slugs reccomended
Dump pouch and 6rd ammo holder
2-point adjustable sling
Upon confirmed registration a complete equipment list will be sent.
Please note poor quality off brand slings are not allowed in this course.
